Villa Spa Camps runs fully catered tented camps for schools, youth groups and church groups on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast.
Your group sleeps in set-up tents on maintained lawns under established trees, eats three cooked meals a day, and walks to Illovo Beach for the morning session. We handle the site, the food, the tents and the camp hosting. The teachers who travel with the group stay responsible for their learners, which is how a school camp should work.
What a camp at Villa Spa includes
Tented camps
Tents, stretcher beds, chairs and a basic light, pitched and ready before your group arrives.
Camp kit supplied
Every camper gets a cap and a water bottle, and in most cases a camp t-shirt.
Ablution facilities
Separate boys and girls ablution blocks with hot water, on site and close to the camping lawns.
Three meals a day
Breakfast, lunch and supper from our kitchen, at fixed times that keep the day running.
Beach access
Illovo Beach is a short walk away for swimming sessions, beach games and evening walks.
Campfires and stories
An evening fire circle for real conversation, group reflection and the part everyone remembers.
Team building and life skills
Structured sessions built around the age group, run by our camp host and events host.
Nature on site
Five acres of lawns, shade trees and birdlife, with space to run, explore and be outdoors all day.
Field trip excursions
Optional outings to the aquarium and the crocodile farm, arranged with the school and quoted separately.
Staff accommodation
Teachers and facilitators stay in serviced log cabins and villa homes, not tents.
Arts and crafts
Mask making, painted stones, drawing and an art competition, run as the afternoon or rainy day session.

Four programmes, built by age
Each programme runs four nights and five days, Monday to Friday, with three options inside it so the school can choose the mix of adventure, team building and quiet time that suits the group.
Programme 1
First camp away from home. Short activity blocks, plenty of supervision, beach and games.
Programme 2
Team challenges, responsibility inside the tent group, and a longer outdoor day.
Programme 3
Leadership, life skills and honest conversation at the fire, with more independence.
Programme 4
For youth and church groups, with space in the programme for faith based sessions.
