Camps & events
Four nights, five days, three meals a day and a programme built for the age group in front of you.
The shape of the week
Every camp follows the same frame so schools can plan transport and parents know what to expect. The activities inside it change with the programme.
-
Monday, 13:00
Arrival and settling in
Group arrives, tents are allocated, site orientation and the camp rules, followed by supper and a first evening activity.
-
Tuesday
Full activity day
Morning beach session, afternoon team building on the lawns, evening campfire.
-
Wednesday
Excursion day
Outdoor adventure and nature exploration, or an optional excursion to the aquarium or the crocodile farm in place of the afternoon block.
-
Thursday
Full activity day
Life skills sessions, an arts and crafts block and group challenges, closing with the final fire, which is usually the session learners talk about afterwards.
-
Friday, 09:00
Breakfast and departure
Breakfast, pack up, site check and departure by 09:00.
The four programmes
Each programme carries three options, so the school chooses the balance of adventure, team building and reflection. Options are confirmed with the camps administrator when the date is held.
Programme 1: First camp
Built for learners who may be away from home for the first time. Shorter activity blocks, early nights and high visibility of the adults.
- Beach games and supervised swimming
- Nature trail and creature spotting on site
- Arts and crafts, mask making and painted stones
- Story campfire and tent group challenges
Programme 2: Team and trust
The group starts running itself. Tent groups take responsibility for their own area and rotate duties through the week.
- Team obstacle and problem solving challenges
- Longer beach and outdoor adventure day
- Art competition and craft session
- Night walk and campfire conversation
Programme 3: Leadership and life skills
For senior groups, prefect camps and leadership weeks. More independence, harder challenges and structured conversation.
- Leadership rotations and group facilitation
- Life skills sessions: choices, pressure, direction
- Closing fire and commitments for the year
Programme 4: Youth camp
For youth groups, church groups and holiday camps, with space in the daily rhythm for the group's own sessions.
- Morning and evening session slots held open
- Worship or devotion time at the fire circle
- Beach, adventure and team building through the day

Teachers and facilitators
Accompanying staff do not sleep under canvas unless they want to. Teachers, group leaders and facilitators are accommodated in our serviced log cabins and villa homes, a short walk from the camping lawns.
What staff get
- A bed in a serviced log cabin or villa home, not a tent
- Private bathroom and hot water
- Linen and towels supplied, and the unit serviced during the stay
- All meals with the group
- Walking distance from the camping lawns, so staff are close without being on top of the learners
Booking staff accommodation
Staff accommodation is R1 250 per adult per night, VAT inclusive, quoted alongside the learner rate. Tell us how many teachers or facilitators are travelling with the group and whether any are sharing, and it goes into the same written quote.
Unit allocation depends on group size and what is available in the week you book.
